For normal rice: Add 2 cups of water to every cup of unpolished brown rice into the rice cooker. If softer texture rice is preferred, pre-soack the rice for 15 minutes to 1 hour before cooking

For porridge or rice congee: Add 10 cups of water to every cup of unpolished brown rice into the rice cooker and boil for about 45-50 minutes.

*For SOFTER rice, add MORE water and simmer for a LONGER time. For FIRMER rice, put LESS water and simmer for a SHORTER time.
